Art Club - The High School Art Club is an after school activity that provides instruction and support for those students who are seeking a creative outlet in addition to their academic schedule. The art room is available to the students, and projects will be guided by the High School Art teacher. Club Officers and members will decide on projects designed to enrich our understanding of Art, and enhance life at Germantown High School, and beyond, with a focus on group projects such as the end of the year main hallway murals. Advanced students working on a portfolio for college acceptance may also be members and use this time to work on their portfolios.
Drama Club Elementary - Group meets after school hours. Students tryout for parts, rehearse and present a play in late fall.
Drama Club Grades 7 -12 - Drama Club gives interested seventh through twelfth graders the opportunity to learn about theater in a hands-on environment. Any student interested in acting, singing, dancing, and/or helping behind the scenes, is encouraged to participate. Half of the fall production will involve straight acting, and the other half will involve song and dance. The spring production will be a full-length musical.
Garden Club - The GCS Garden Club is available to any 4th, 5th, or 6th grader who is interested and eligible to join. We will be learning basic garden planning, indoor seed-starting, building and growing in raised beds, Health / Nutrition, and learning about various fruits, vegetables and herbs. The club meets Thursdays 2:45 - 3:30 PM.
Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) Club - The GSA Club's mission is to create a safe environment for LGBTQ individuals by reducing bullying and discrimination.
Health Club - The Health Club implements projects to promote health and wellness throughout the GCS community.
International Club - The purpose of International Club is to promote cultural diversity and acceptance here at Germantown. We will accomplish this by being positive role models to the student body, participating in community service activities, and hosting or participating in functions which encourage diversity within our school and community.
National Honor Society -The Germantown Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) shares the purpose and goals of the national organization, which are to recognize our country’s outstanding students. The NHS seeks to honor more than just academic success; it encourages and honors good character, as well as excellence in the areas of leadership and service. Founded in 1921, the organization has an estimated one million student members across 50 states. Our chapter is guided by the principles of the NHS constitution: "To create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of secondary schools." NHS members are visible examples of these principles in our school, and they participate in a number of service opportunities throughout the school year.
National Junior Honor Society - The purpose of NJHS is to promote the recognition of students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, citizenship, and service.
Wee Deliver Post Office Elementary - Wee Deliver postal system for students K-6. Students can write and “mail” letters to other students or staff members. Students sort the mail and deliver it weekly.
SADD - SADD began as an organization designed to help young people learn alternatives to drinking and driving. As our society has changed, SADD’s mission has evolved. Based on research that indicates exposure to positive peer pressure, strategies and role models help teens make beneficial decisions, SADD has become an organization that focuses on preventing destructive decisions. The more students know about how to cope with relevant issues like underage drinking, drug use, impaired driving, violence and suicide, the better decisions they can make regarding these issues.
Student Council - The purpose of the Student Council is to provide a valuable leadership partnership between students and their school. It creates the opportunity for students to become effective leaders, thus encouraging and influencing a positive school climate.
