Athletic Directions

 

Directions from Germantown School to other Schools

 

Albany Acad.- Take the thruway north to exit 23.  Exit to 9W and take a left at the light onto 9W north.  At the first 4-way intersection with a light, take a right onto Hoffman Ave.  Turn left on Frisbee Ave. take a left onto 2nd Ave., then cross Delaware Ave. and go to the left fork in the road, (Whitehall Ave.).  Turn right at a light onto Marwill St. cross Hacket Blvd. And the school is up the hill on the right.  Turn right into the parking lot. 1 hour.

 

Berkshire - Take Route 66 to Chatham.  Take Route 295 through Chatham to Route 22 North.  The school is on the right just as you get to 22.   1 hour

 

Berlin - Take Route 66 to Chatham.  Take Route 295 through Chatham to 22 North.  Go past New Lebanon and continue to Berlin school, 20 minutes past New Lebanon. 

 

Cairo Durham - Go over the Rip Van Winkle Bridge.  Stay on Route 23 to a right onto Route 145.  The Middle School - High School is on the left.  40 min.

 

Chatham - Take Route 66 through Hudson all the way to Chatham.  At the first light in Chatham take a  left onto 203 West.  Go approx. less than a mile then take a right on Woodbridge Ave.  Take a left after the railroad tracks.  45 min.

Coleman - Same as Dietz directions but take a right turn onto Hurley Ave. from Washington. The schools is a few miles on the right. 430 Hurley Ave. 35 min

Coxsackie- Go over the Rip Van Winkle Bridge.  Take a right onto 385 North.  Go through Athens and left turn on Sunset Blvd.  The school is on Sunset Blvd.

 

Clifton Commons (Softball)

Thruway to Northway exit 9 (146 west).  Take 146 for about 4 miles, past Shenendehowa High School to the light with a fire station on the right and gas station on the left.  Make a left at the light, the field is ¾ mile on the left. 

 

Dietz Stadium- Cross the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge.  Exit left on Sawmill Rd.  Take a left onto Washington Ave.  Take the first right after Hurley Ave.  The stadium is straight ahead.  35 min.

 

Doane Stuart - Take I-90 to exit 8.  Follow the off ramp to the first light and take a left into Rensselaer.  The school is a few miles from the light on the right hand side. 

 

Emma Willard - Take Route 9 or 9H to I-90 west.  Take exit 9, to route 4 N.  Travel 3.5 miles to a right onto County Route 74 (Winter St. Ext.)  Travel 2 miles, when the road forks, bear left to the end.  Take a left on 66 or Pawling Ave. Go past the stone entrance of the school and take a right at the light onto Elmgrove Ave.  Take a right at the stop sign into the parking lot then go left.  1 hour 10 min.

 

Gloversville- Take the Thruway North to exit 28 toward Route 30A/Johnstown.  Turn left onto Riverside Drive/CR-199 becomes River St.  Take a sharp right onto Bridge St.-NY 30A.  Turn right onto Broadway/NY 30A North.  Continue on this several miles.  Turn left onto 29A/West Fulton St.  Turn right onto Orchard St.  Turn left onto Lincoln St.  2 hours.

 

Greenville - Stay on Route 23  past Cairo.  Take a right onto Route 32.  When you get to Greenville take a left at the first light.  School is up a hill.  45 min.

 

Guilderland - Field hockey challenge is at the HS.  Take Thruway to exit 24.  Take right from the exit.  At the light go right onto Route 20, go 4.3 miles.  At light take a left onto Route 146.  Go 2.3 miles to a left onto School House Road, (Stewarts on left), school is on left. 

 

Hadley Luzerne (Baseball)

Take I87 to exit 21.  Follow Rt9N to Lake Luzerne.  Take a right on Hyland Drive.  You will see the Stuart M. Townsend Middle School on your left.  The baseball field is behind the school.

 

Hawthorne Valley - Volleyball & Basketball - St. Mary's school in Hudson.  15 min. Take 9G into Hudson, the school is on the right at the first light. 

 

Heatly - Take the thruway North to Exit 23.  Take 787 North to the Warervliet-Green Island exit.  Bear right off the exit continuing on to Green Island.  Take a right on Tibbits Ave.  For soccer, baseball and softball go straight to the fields.  For basketball- then take a right at the next light onto Cohoes Ave.  Continue 2 blocks, bear left at Lazzaro Auto Body onto Arch St.  The school is ahead.  1 hour 10 min.

 

Hudson High School -  Harry Howard Ave.  Take 9G  to Hudson.  Take a right on State St.  Take a left after Edwards Elementary.  Take a left at the stop sign and continue to the school, about 2-3 miles on the left.  17 min.

 

Hunter -   Go over the Rip Van Winkle Bridge.  Bear left and exit Route 23 onto 9W South.  Go through Catskill, stay straight and the route becomes 23A.  Follow this through Palenville to Tannersville.  The school is on the right. 55 min.

 

Ichabod Crane- Take Route 9 or 9H to Valatie. Take the turn behind Four Brothers Pizza.  The field is behind the school that has a dome top. 45 min.

Modified Field Hockey Field - Take Route 9 north to Kinderhook.  When in Kinderhook take a left onto Rothermel Ave, right before the Martin Van Buren Elementary School.  The field is a few hundred feet down on the right.

 

Johnsburg- Take the Northway to exit 23.  Follow Route 9 thru Warrensburg.  Take a left onto route 28 to North Creek.  Go straight over the bridge to the North Creek business district.  Cunningham's ski barn will be on your right.  Take a right there onto Main St. The school is ¼ mile on the left.

 

Mount Everett.- Go out Route 23 past Taconic Hills to Great Barrington.  Take a right onto Route 7 South to Sheffield.  Take a right onto Berkshire School Road, go past the Berkshire School to the next school.  The school is 1 mile on the left.  

 

Loudonville Christian School - (LCS)

 

For Volleyball, basketball, modified soccer, modified softball - Take I - 90 West to Exit 6.  When you get off at exit 6 bear right.  This is Route 9, the school is a few miles up on the left.  The school is with a church, take the first driveway into the complex. 

Varsity soccer- North Colonie Sports Complex , 538 Boght Rd, Latham, NY 12047                From the Northway (heading north or south):

  • Take I-87 (the Northway) to Exit 7.
  • Stay to the right and follow ramp toward Route 9 (Cohoes).
  • Take right onto Route 9 and head north for about 1½ miles, past Gupthills Skating Rink.
  • At light, take right onto Route 9R (Boght Road).
• Continue on 9R for about ½ mile, then look for entrance to North Colonie Sports Complex on right.

 

Varsity baseball- Cook Park, take I90 to I87 North, get off at exit 2W (Central Ave).  Go a ½ mile and turn left onto Lincoln Ave.  Take the 5th left into Cook Park, take the road to the end field on the left (Rogowicz Field)

 

Modified baseball - West Albany Little League fields located on Exchange St. just after the old Tobins Meat packing plant. Take exit 5 off of I-90 going west. Take a right off the ramp and then your immediate left onto Exchange St. The park is about 1 mile down on your left.

 

Varsity Softball

Directions to the Shaker/Loudonville Fire Dept. Softball field:

  • Head North on Loudon Rd/Route 9. Go 0.6 mile
  • Take a slight left at Old Niskayuna Rd/County Rd 152.  Go 1.7 miles. Turn left into driveway. Parking lot in back.

Field is behind the firehouse to the right.

 

New Mount Everett directions

Take Route 23 to Great Barrington 19 miles.  Take a right on Under Mountain RD / MA 41 (4 miles), turn left on Berkshire School Road.  School is on this road.

 

New Lebanon - Take Route 66 to Chatham.  Take Route 295 through Chatham to 22 North. Stay on 22 the school is on the left.  1 hr. 8 min. 

 

North Warren- Take the Thruway to the Northway.  Take exit 25 off the Northway.  Take a left.  The school is 200 yards on the left.  2 ½ hours.

 

Pine Plains- Take 9G South.  Take a left onto Route 199.  The school is on the left.  45 min.

 

Red Hook- Take 9G South.  Take a left onto Route 199.  The school is on the left.  25 min.

 

Rhinebeck- Take 9G South to Route 9.  Take Route 9 to Rhinebeck and go past the fair and take a left onto Mulberry Rd.  Take a left onto South St.  Take a right on Parsonage St.  Take a left onto North Park Rd.  And go straight to the school.  25 min.

 

Salem- Take Route 66 to Chatham.  Take Route 295 through Chatham to 22 North.  Go right at the light in Salem, drive past the school on the left then pull in to park.  2 hours, 15 min.

Saratoga High School

 

Take the North Way to Exit 13N towards Saratoga Springs.  Merge onto 9 North for 3.5 miles.  At the Dance center take a left onto W Fenlon ST. go 2 light and take a right onto west AVE.  At the next light turn left into the school by the football stadium. 

When at the school go past the bleachers for the football field and gym will off to the right.  Look for the glass windows. 

 

Skidmore- Northway North to Exit 15.  Go left onto Route 50.  At the 4th light go right onto East Ave.  When East Ave. ends go right onto North Broadway.  Take a left in to the Skidmore campus and bear left until you come to the stadium.  1 hour, 20 min.

 

Tamarac - Take I-90 to 787 North.  Take Exit 7,the Troy - Bennington exit, which will put you on Route 7 East.  Go 6.5 miles to Route 278.  The school is on the right.  1 hour

 

Taconic Hills- Take a right onto Route 14 (Linlithgo) or Church Rd.  Cross Route 23 and go left onto Yates Rd.  Take a left onto School House Rd., bear right onto 27B.  Take a right onto 23.  School in on the right. (Beauty Highway).  30 min.

 

Voorheesville - Take the thruway North to Exit 24.  Bear right at the exit and follow the road past the Cross gates Mal exit.  Take a right on Route 20.  Tale a left on Route 155.  Proceed thru the roundabout in Voorheesville,  bear right. The high school- Clayton A. Bouton H.S. is ahead.   1 hour 15 min.

 

Waterford- Get off the Thruway or I-90 at 787 North and take 787 north to route 32 N.  Take a right onto Route 32 N and continue on 32 until you take a left onto 6th street.  Take a left onto 6th street (county route 96) and continue on 96 for 4 miles.  The school is on the right.     

Baseball and Softball games are played at the school or town park.  The Town park is 1 - 2 miles before the school on the left.

 

Webutuck- Go past Pine Plains on Route 199.  When it ends take a right onto 22 South.  Go 2 miles look for a small school sign on the right and turn there.  Take the first left turn into the school.  The field hockey field is behind the tennis courts.  1 hour.

 

Windham - Take 9G North to the Rip Van Winkle Bridge.  Continue heading west on 23 through the town of Windham.  The school is on the left.  55 min.
